The first SB1 reporting deadline is here. Across Ohio, institutions have spent months building processes, publishing syllabi, and preparing for compliance. Now comes the next challenge: validating results, identifying gaps, refining workflows, and determining what’s next.
The Ohio SB1 Digital Syllabus Workgroup brings together higher education leaders for an interactive forum focused on lessons learned, practical strategies, and peer-to-peer collaboration. This is an opportunity to hear how other institutions are approaching SB1 requirements, discuss common challenges, and explore ways to strengthen digital syllabus processes moving forward.
The workgroup will feature insights from the University of Cincinnati and Cleveland State University, facilitated discussion, collaborative breakout sessions, and opportunities for participants to exchange ideas with colleagues from institutions across the state.
Participants will also have the opportunity to engage directly with David Glenn, Director of Product at Simple Higher Ed, and share feedback on the tools, workflows, reporting capabilities, and future enhancements institutions would like to see from technology partners supporting digital syllabus initiatives.
Through facilitated discussions and small-group breakout sessions, participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, compare approaches, and learn from peers working through similar challenges.
This workgroup is beneficial for professionals driving institutional response to SB1 compliance efforts, including:
