The Colorado Community College System has awarded its Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 23-011 for a syllabus management tool to Simple Syllabus.
This decision resulted from a competitive evaluation process for identifying a tool that meets the college system’s criteria for integration, accessibility, institutional accreditation and data reporting.
Evaluation Process
The RFP outlined detailed criteria for the syllabus management tool, including integrations with D2L Brightspace, a centralized syllabus repository, and compliance with web-based accessibility standards.
The proposal review concluded that Simple Syllabus was the optimal choice, aligning most effectively with the needs of the college system, possessing a history of successful implementations at other higher education institutions.

The Colorado Community College System will begin implementation immediately, with a focus on integrating the platform with Brightspace and creating standardized syllabus templates across each college. The implementation is designed to ensure the system is easy for both faculty and students to use, and fully compliant with accessibility, accreditation, and institutional standards.
Simple Syllabus and CCCS will partner closely throughout the launch to support faculty, collect their feedback, and fine-tune the system. The goal is to enable faculty to use the platform by the upcoming academic term, which will provide students with immediate, streamlined access to their course details
