Davis Technical College has awarded its Request for Proposal (RFP) Q24012924 for syllabus management software to Simple Syllabus. This award was received through a competitive evaluation process to identify a platform that meets the college’s requirements for compliance, functionality, and technical integrations.
Evaluation Process
The RFP contained detailed criteria for a syllabus management system, including compliance with institutional standards, data reporting tools, integration with Instructure Canvas, options for customization, and a user-friendly interface for both faculty and students.
Upon reviewing vendor proposals, Simple Syllabus was selected as the most suitable solution. The platform meets all of the colleges specifications, leveraging a background of successful deployments at other higher education institutions.

Implementation of Simple Syllabus at Davis Technical College will start right away, with an emphasis on integrating the platform with Canvas and creating customized syllabus templates across departments. The project is designed to ensure that every course syllabus is consistent, accessible, and compliant with both institutional and accreditation requirements.
Davis Tech and Simple Syllabus will work closely throughout the deployment to provide assistance, gather faculty insight, and modify the system as needed. The goal is for faculty to begin utilizing the system as soon as the next academic term, granting students prompt access to important course details.
