Macomb Community College has awarded its Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 6375 for syllabus management software to Simple Syllabus. The decision follows a competitive evaluation process designed to identify a system that could meet the college’s requirements for integration, compliance, and accessibility.

Macomb Community College issued RFP 6375 with detailed criteria for syllabus management software. Core requirements included integration with Instructure Canvas, compliance with accessibility standards, support for single sign-on, the ability to archive and store syllabi, and a user-friendly interface for faculty and students.
Following a review of vendor submissions, Simple Syllabus was selected as the solution that most closely aligned with the college’s needs. The system met all required specifications and offered proven implementation at other higher education institutions.

Implementation of Simple Syllabus at Macomb Community College will begin immediately. The project will focus on integrating the platform with Canvas, establishing templates for syllabi across academic departments. The rollout is designed to ensure that every course syllabus is consistent, accessible, and compliant with institutional and accreditation standards.
Macomb and Simple Syllabus will collaborate closely during the initial deployment to provide support, gather feedback, and make adjustments as needed. The goal is to have faculty using the system as early as the upcoming academic term, giving students timely access to updated course information.
