The University of Kansas has awarded its Request for Proposal (RFP) L100154582 for a syllabus management solution to Simple Syllabus. The award follows a competitive evaluation process to identify a solution that can meet the university’s requirements for institutional compliance, technical integrations, and platform operability.
Evaluation Process
The RFP included detailed requirements for a syllabus management solution. Key criteria included a centralized platform for syllabus creation and storage, the ability to establish standardized syllabus templates, technical integrations with Instructure Canvas and Oracle Peoplesoft, data reporting tools, and a user-friendly interface for students and faculty.
Following a thorough review of proposals, Simple Syllabus was chosen as the solution that is most compatible with the university’s needs. The platform fulfilled all essential criteria and offered verifiable proof of successful implementations at other higher education institutions.

The University of Kansas is set to begin implementation of Simple Syllabus right away. The project will focus on integrating the platform with Canvas, creating standardized syllabus templates, and assisting faculty to become familiarized with the platform. The deployment is designed to ensure that every course syllabus is consistent, accessible, and compliant with institutional and accreditation standards.
Simple Syllabus and the University of Kansas will work jointly during the project launch to provide faculty assistance, and make adjustments to the system according to feedback. The objective is to have faculty utilizing the platform as soon as the upcoming academic term, providing students with prompt access to important course information.
